One of the basic needs of a person’s spiritual development is his awareness of his own worth. It turns out that a person’s need to feel his need and importance is even higher than his need for sleep or food. The feeling of one's own significance sometimes exceeds the instinct of self-preservation in its strength, and then a person is ready to do everything in order to prove to himself that he is not useless.
What is a sense of self-worth?
In fact, a person tries to find a sense of his significance throughout almost his entire conscious life. To begin with, he enters a prestigious university, gets a well-paid job and tries to actively participate in the affairs of the company. All this happens for one single reason - a person is trying to feel necessary and important. He tries to compare himself with other people and be a cut above. The more he succeeds, the more he accomplishes useful deeds, the higher will be his significance.
How people increase their importance
Provided that a person does not have his own and interesting business, he tries to increase his sense of self-worth by any means possible for this. Such a person does not stop searching and changing his sexual partners, he tries to teach and teach everyone around him, and he also tries to regularly sort out relationships with his family, constant family quarrels and scandals, all this is a pathological compensation for the lack of a person’s own significance.
Such options for self-expression are based solely on the destructive method, but this does not allow you to properly express your personality. At the same time, a person thinks that by joining a stranger, giving himself completely into the cultural, financial and material subordination of managers or any other people, he receives that long-awaited calm and self-confidence, while having the opportunity to express himself.
However, such sensations are erroneous. Self-development is important to increase self-esteem.
It must be remembered that working for not your idea, not in your system and completely for strangers, there is no way to prove yourself and become a really strong person. And the feeling of confidence obtained in this case is imaginary.
A great option is to open a new business that will be in demand or to engage in charity. People will begin to respect and value you, then you yourself will realize how important they are to others.
