Contamination of the skin and its defects In addition to daily procedures, it is necessary to clean the skin once a week. During steam baths, under the influence of hot compresses and masks, the pores open and all impurities, even very deep, go up, which prevents the appearance of blackheads. How easy it is to take care of a healthy body, healthy skin care is just as simple. But if black dots appear on the face, it is already more difficult to deal with them. Try to prevent this!

How to avoid blackheads? Acne can appear singly and in groups. If they are squeezed out, then along with a black dot a small sebaceous plug comes out of the skin - an excess of fat, which should be secreted regularly by the sebaceous glands. When the pores are clogged with dust, powder, lipstick or cream, the discharge remains under the skin and blackheads appear (much more often on oily skin than dry skin).

There are many sebaceous glands on the skin, which during normal operation give it elasticity and protect against temperature fluctuations. With very intense work of the glands, the skin becomes oily. The work of the glands is associated with the general condition of the body. Therefore, in this case, you must consult a doctor.

If you have oily skin and acne, it’s helpful to do the following. Be sure to watch your stomach, its proper operation is one of the main conditions for keeping the skin clean. Poorly digested food, all kinds of hot spices should be discarded. It is recommended to eat a lot of raw fruits, fresh vegetables - mainly raw or stewed in a little water, a green salad is useful. It is also good to drink a glass of milk daily on an empty stomach before breakfast, and a freshly prepared chamomile broth in the evening before bedtime.

Regular skin cleansing, especially before bedtime, is something that is important to pay attention to. In addition, once a week you need to do a steam bath or alternately cold and hot compresses, and then, depending on the nature of the skin, apply a cleansing mask. This cleaning is important, as is daily washing of the face.

Yeast treatment. A good proven means of dealing with contaminated skin are yeast - an old home remedy.

Twice a week you need to make a yeast mask. Take 20 g of yeast, mash them and mix with a small amount of milk so that the resulting mask has a density of sour cream. Apply this mask to your face. When it dries, you need to erase it, making circular movements with your fingertips. After that, wash your face first with hot, then with cold water. Such a mask has a cleansing and smoothing effect. Thanks to the regular use of this mask, the skin becomes clean and matte.
The course of treatment should be at least four weeks, but it will give better results if you continue it for up to six weeks.

A large number of blackheads spoil the face. Hardened sebaceous plugs irritate subcutaneous cells, small red acne appears, which, as a result of purulent infection, turns into scabies. All this can be avoided by protecting yourself from blackheads. If acne appears in large quantities, this is already an alarm - the disease makes itself felt, and you need to see a doctor.

Are Acne Infectious: Myths and Scientific Evidence

First you need to explain in detail how exactly the rashes appear. This is necessary so that you understand the process and the ways in which acne affects healthy skin. There are so-called internal and external pathways of infection. Internal - this is when a skin disease is caused by factors that go deep into our body. That is, these are internal diseases organs, and wrong nutrition, and stress, and even depression. A link is attached to each of the above reasons, clicking on which you can read our corresponding article on the topic. The fact is that often our body so reports on the problem that arose in it. This indicates that something inside has failed and is not working properly.

The problem is that the appearance of acne due to these problems is not taken into account by many, since many simply do not know that rashes can occur for these reasons. For example, psychological factors are often not taken into account by ordinary people, since in principle we rarely attach importance to stress and neurosis. And this leads not only to unwanted acne, but also to more serious problems.

And in this case, it is not the skin that needs to be treated, but the root cause, which is buried deep in our body. For treatment, you need to visit the appropriate doctor. For example, if it is revealed that the problem is with bowel problems, go to a specialist. But first of all, it is worth visiting a dermatologist. We delved into the topic of internal acne for a reason - it will later lead us to answer the question whether acne is contagious or not.

And there are external causes of the appearance that are familiar to each of us. Everything is simple here - an irritant gets on the skin, as a result of which the process of acne formation begins. Anything can be such a catalyst - poor cosmetics (for example, foundation that does not suit you or even stitched lip gloss), improper skin care, insufficient hygiene, inconsistency of your skin care type and type Further. This includes everything that falls on the epidermis from the outside and subsequently can cause acne. In theory, it is this kind of acne that is transmitted from person to person. At least that's what most people think. After all, you can probably transfer acne to someone simply by contacting him, for example, using a common towel? Probably the bacteria are transmitted that way. But what really is?

In fact, everything is much more complicated. There are different types of skin. Some of them are prone to rashes, and some are not. Surely you noticed that for a certain type of people acne appears literally from everything - I ate an extra chocolate bar, once touched my face with a palm or something else, and immediately three acne on my skin. And for others, this simply does not happen, whatever they do. Here the problem is the epidermis. It is worthwhile to understand that if you have never had acne, then it will not appear simply because you talked to the person who has it.

For example, the owners of the normal type do not have this at all - such skin is extremely dense, with excellent protection and normal production of fat. The pores are not enlarged, and they simply do not appear acne for external reasons. Only in domestic. But with the rest it’s more difficult - bacteria enter the dry bacteria through microcracks in the epidermis, the combined one suffers from acne in the T-zone, and oily - over the entire surface.

Are acne on the face and body contagious? Of course not! Ordinary acne simply cannot be transmitted from person to person through normal contact. If you have a normal type and you start to contact a person who is fat, nothing will appear on the skin. It is simply not possible.

But you need to understand that there are cases out of the ordinary in which you can really get infected. We will talk about these situations in the section below.

Truly contagious acne: when acne is transmitted

As we said earlier, it is impossible to get infected with ordinary acne, which happens in almost all normal people (even those who are lucky to be born with healthy skin). This is nothing more than a stupid myth and delusion from a misunderstanding of the issue. But there is acne, which can really be transmitted from person to person. It should be understood that this is not an ordinary rash, but really diseases that need to be treated and which have a causative agent.

Acne that is transmitted through illness

There are skin diseases in which the rashes are really contagious. They are caused by a specific pathogen - a bacterium, fungus or infection. The latter include the well-known chickenpox, measles, all types of smallpox and much more. In this case, the rash is transmitted either by airborne droplets (because the infection that causes it spreads this way) or through direct contact. However, acne that occurs due to such diseases is easy to distinguish from ordinary ones.

It is worth noting acne, which is caused by the spread of a certain type of fungus or bacteria on the skin. They are also externally very distinguishable from ordinary acne. In this case, they can be obtained by direct contact with a sick person - by touching, using common clothing or towels.

When acne is inherited

This can not be called an infection, but transmission still occurs. It's no secret that the tendency to acne is also genetic. In this case, the disease or the bacteria themselves are not transmitted to you - a person receives skin from his parents, which is more prone to rashes. Nothing can be done with this in the future, it cannot be completely cured. For a normal life, you will have to visit a dermatologist regularly, select special care and carefully take care of your skin. No one is to blame, and it is impossible to infect others with such eels. You just have to lead a special lifestyle and take care of yourself a little more carefully than others.

When acne is transmitted by a kiss

As a rule, we are talking about acne on the shirts and around the lips. In this case, you can infect another person only with herpes, and nothing more. In this article we talked in detail about why acne appears in this area and explained how to avoid it. Herpes is really a contagious disease that can be transmitted with a kiss, or using certain types of common utensils (for example, if a person drinks from a pipe that the infected person used before). But acne is transmitted by kiss not only in the case of herpes. This also includes cases in which a person suffers from one of the above infections (chickenpox, measles or another), which cause the appearance of a certain rash and can be transmitted by contact or by airborne droplets.

But remembering hygiene is also important.

So, we have already answered the question of whether acne is contagious in people. Just in case, we’ll repeat the answer - no, but there are some types of rash that can actually pass from person to person. Acne is transmitted exclusively in cases where there is an infection or bacterial disease that causes it only afterwards.

But you really should not forget about hygiene. The fact is that although you can’t get infected with anything, you still need to follow certain rules, just so that acne does not appear in principle. And yes, it is connected with human contacts too. Just remember the following:

⦁ Use a personal towel. Common towels are usually a hotbed of a bunch of bacteria that cause irritation and inflammation of the skin,
⦁ Change bedding more often, especially after someone else has slept in your bed. Saliva, bacteria and dirt are constantly accumulating on the fabric, and if you have not changed bed sheets for more than a month, you can wait for acne,
⦁ Do not forget to treat the skin with a softening tonic after each wash. After each wash, small layers of indelible cosmetics and cleanser remain on the skin. It causes skin irritation and inflammation.

1. You do not use moisturizer

You probably think that the cream will make the skin more oily. But this is not so, says Simal Desai, professor of dermatology at the Southwestern Medical Center at the University of Texas. If you use drying agents, such as face foams, your body can spur the sebaceous glands to maintain the necessary moisture in the skin. As a result, pores get clogged, promoting the growth of bacteria and the appearance of acne.

Decision: if you have oily skin, buy a product with 2-3% salicylic acid solution. Sensitive skin? Choose a remedy with glycolic acid. After washing, use a moisturizer.

2. Gadgets are to blame

You touch the phone screen with dirty fingers, and then put it on your cheek, answering the call. So it becomes a breeding ground and transmission of acne-causing bacteria. “I often have patients who have more acne on one cheek than on the other,” says Simal Desai.

Decision: Wipe the phone with an alcohol-containing cleaning agent every day. And the less often you lean it against your face, the better. Use a headset whenever possible.

3. You consume a lot of simple carbohydrates

A diet with lots of simple carbohydrates like white bread or sweet energy bars can boost the sebaceous glands, ”says Adnan Nasir, a dermatology expert at Men’s Health. A recent study in Korea showed that a diet with a low glycemic index, with an emphasis on whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, reduces acne in 10 weeks.

Decision: you don’t have to completely abandon bread: participants in the Korean study received up to 45% of calories from carbohydrates.

4. You are a workaholic

Stress can cause many health problems, including increased oily skin on the face. Anxiety leads to an increase in inflammatory markers called cytokines, which, in turn, enhance the functioning of the sebaceous glands.

Decision: learn to worry less and relax more.
